Guess I'm the oddball here (imagine that). Up until the stupid ending, I liked it. From the onset, I didn't expect it to be better than the DePalma masterpiece so just watched it for what it was--a bland TV movie.:star:

Ok, it was terrible. I knew that without torturing myself by watching it. But the $60K question: was it even worse than "The Shining" miniseries?

Aside from his written for TV Storm of the Century & the adaptation of his short The Langoliers every network adapted Steven King novel or story of the last ten years (whether adapted by Mr.King himself or not) has had this "sensibility" that has IMO utterly ruined some of King's very best literary work.
