Need some options (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to build a home theatre as my new place has a room that's available. Probably about 16x12. I just need an all around good reciever to take care of my home theatre needs.

I'd also like some recommendations on speakers, I'll probably just build up to the full on experience so lets start with fronts and a center.

Price range for both, I guess $400-500 would be good. I dunno how far that'll get me though. Thanks for any help you can give.

Oh, and I'm a bass head, so I definately need something that'll be capable of producing low end frequencies.

If you are on a budget, consider the Panasonic SA-XR50. You can get it from E-Tronics for $225. These digital amps will perform incredibly for the price and size. Check out the posts here and on www.avsforum.com I have one in a large room powering JBL speakers and it sounds fantastic.
