I have an older model (1998-99ish)RCA rear projection screen TV. When there are bright colors on the screen most notibly bright to medium reds the colors get staticy snow effects. The static generally stays in the bright color area. Say, if there is a woman wearing a red sweater and blue jeans, the red sweater will be staticy while the rest of the image will be realitively uneffected.
Why does it do this, and is there any way eliminate or at least reduce it?
