I need help! I can't stop listening to the same 6 cds. I have a broad taste in music but lately I cannot find anything new that I like. My current playlist consists of

    1- Tsar s/t

    2- Dad's Porno Mag s/t

3- Col. Parker - Rock N Roll Music

    4- Antrax - Stomp 442

    5- Placebo - all 3 cds.

I have really been into Gilby Clarke also. Some CD's that I received for Christmas are Beatles(White Album,Abbey Road), Billy Squier Greatest Hits, James Michael(Inhale) and Van Morrison(Greatest hits). All of which I like but I want to find something new. I have already the Linkin Parks, Creeds and all those other bands that sound the same.

Just to give some more insight into my musical taste. One of my all-time favorite band is Saigon Kick. Also, I pick up anything that has the guitarist Ryan Roxie's name on it(He is Alice Coppers guitar player, as well as his own band,Dad's Porno Mag).

Dunno, sounds like you go for slick LA metal... but maybe you need a more organic twist, try:

Refused, the shape of punk to come (the most important hard rock record of the 90's).

Jawbox, for your own special sweetheart (the most interesting rock record I've ever heard).

Shiner, starless (they bring the rock).

Fugazi, in on the kill taker (if you don't know fugazi, I feel sorry for you).

Pankration, of monkey of man of wizard (if you like really aggro grindy metal).

That Dog, retreat from the sun (just a fun, well written pop record).

Sunny Day Real Estate, diary (old news, but pretty much created modern emo-rock).

Engine 88, snowman (the best band nobody ever heard).

Maybe go "sample" some songs on the internet-- try:

Shudder to Think, Rodan, Shellac, Appleseed Cast, Party of Helicopters, Jon Spencer, Sleater-Kinney, Satchel, In flames, Skeleton Key, Stepleader, etc, etc.

Gamma ray,Iced earth, stratovarius, dream theater, and megadeth all have recent albums that you may want to check out. Not sure if they are all in your musical tastes but they are all great bands so you may want to give them a shot.
