I have a bad feeling that's it a virus of some sort, or at the least, something you don't want. Find out where the file is located and try and delete that first, and see if it still comes back.

What's the icon look like? Is the actual title rdxr***** (5 asterisks), or are you simply censoring out a rude title?

Usually file names can't contain asterisks, so I would suspect some sort of virus or other corruption.

the stars are just more numbers.

it's apparently a DAT FILE.

size...240 bytes

size on disk 4.00 KB (4,096 bytes)

the icon is a general unkown file type of picture.

If you right-click the icon, and select Properties, what do you see? A DAT file, or a link to something, or something else? When does the file appear?

What OS are you running?

thats it.

i knew someone here would have the answer.
now i have to figure out how to delete it using the directions on that link.

Before you can delete the bpboh or mbho DLL, you will need to deregister it. For Windows 95/98/Me, enter one of the following commands:

bpboh variant

"%WinDir%SYSTEMregsvr32.exe" /u "%WinDir%bpboh.dll"

mbho/MSCStat variant

"%WinDir%SYSTEMregsvr32.exe" /u "%WinDir%SYSTEMmbho.dll"
does anyone know what it means to "enter" or were to enter that stuff?

Click Start, then Run. A box will pop up where you can enter a command. Enter (type) it there, or copy and paste it in, then click OK.

If this is a spyware component, you may want to download a copy of AdAware from download.com which will scan your system and allow you to remove these parasites from your system.
