It helps reduce the amount of vibration transmitted directly to the floor, which reduces sympathetic resonances in the floor (providing you have a wood floor). Those speakers appear to already have feet that likely have spikes as well, so the marble really doesn't add much more than the spikes already did.

okey, but i dont have spikes on my.

So if i get plates like that, my neighbors won't be so pissed of? :)

but no, i have concrete floor and walls :

If you have concrete floors, marble underneath isn't going to make a difference at all.

I was going to add marble/granite slabs under my speakers for another reason. I have some Audio Pro Black Diamond speakers that are ported on the bottom. Even with the spikes the port comes close to the carpet. I changed my mind after I saw what this would cost me.
