My old panny a110 needs replacing. I have a proscan 32" tv which won't be replaced for a couple more years. I would be connecting any new dvd player to my sony da555-es via component and/or optical. I believe the Denon is component and dvi (which I don't have) so I guess I would use the component hookups only.

Is the 1910 too much player for my system. It seems reasonably priced ($250), though I know there are cheaper ones out there. Should I be looking at something cheaper?

Doesn't Denon have a reputation for reliability? That would be nice because if the Denon were replaced, it would move to the bedroom.

I'm hoping a couple years we'll be making the move the HD.
