LG was busy at the SID 2022 (Society for Information Display) convention last month where it unveiled a 97-inch OLED.EX TV display, which the company says is the biggest of its kind. The EX technology is used to boost brightness by 30% while enhancing details and colors to maximize the viewing experience. Although the new tech on display will probably span both commercial and residential applications, it’s useful to review what might come down the pike for home theater and gadget users.
But the EX wasn’t the only tech on display at the fair. Among the products showcased by LG was a 42-inch bendable OLED gaming display with a curvature range of up to 1,000R, or a radius of 1,000mm. This enables a screen to bend and straighten for a particular game and for consumers to manipulate its immersive capabilities to suit.
