Two excellent films that aren't on dvd and probably won't be any time soon:

The Emigrants with Max Von Sydow and Liv Ullman, and it's wonderful sequel The New Land.

Alladin, and all of the direct to video sequels.

...

Beauty and the Beast (Next year's platinum release.)

I thought it was

Snow white (2001)

Aladdin (2002)

Beauty and the Beast (2003)

Lion King 2004

Though it would make sense to release it this year due to tomorrows IMAX theater opening.

In scanning the posts in this thread, I didn't see Heartbreak Ridge so I'll add that to the growing list.

The original "Cat People," directed by Jacques Tourneur, and all the other horror noir flicks produced by Val Lewton. That Simone Simon was a sexy critter... :)
I haven't been able to afford the Val Lewton boxed set of LDs on eBay so far. :frowning:

I'll receive a packet of 20 double-sided DVD-R blanks in a few days, so this will then become a moot point in my book :)

I happen to be a Charles Bronson fan. One of his better movies was on LD but is not yet on DVD. It is "The Evil That Men Do".
