Her portrayal of Nurse Kellye was fantastic. I can’t help but see Alan Alda whenever I see him in a role, but because of talents like hers, the world of M*A*S*H seemed more real than a 70s television show had any right to be. By the later seasons when the supporting players were finally given bigger bits of business, she became an indispensable character and one I looked forward to seeing. She’s part of a talented group that turned what could have been a short lived folly into a timeless masterpiece that’s in many ways the American TV version of “No Exit”.
