I just got one of these 2 weeks ago... and I can say that my expectations were exceeded. Full rich sound. Clear dialogue. Loads of power for the average Joe, (the sub set to max will rattle your windows !) Suoer easy set up. While the detachable speakers might seem gimmicky they really work well and it's great for experimenting with different room placements. Atmos and DTS:X work great (yes when it rains it sounds like it's coming from the ceiling lol). I could quibble about some minor things like wishing for another HDMI input , but at this price point I'd be nitpicking.

Not sure I want to have to worry about charging speakers. Any idea on how long a charge lasts?

They say it lasts 10 hours ... I've never run mine that long yet ... I have gotten a little more than 8 hours so far .. they also have micro USB ports, so if the location you choose for the rears allows you to run a micro USB cable to them, presumably you won't need to ever redock them. They say they need 3 hours to fully recharge. I can't vouch for this as I've watched 2 or 3 films in a row, redocked them overnight and they've been good to go. I forgot to mention in my original post, that the system has an easy 2 step auto calibration feature, so if you do experiment with moving the rears around the room don't forget to recalibrate.
