Hi,
I was wondering if JBL N38 main speakers would work well with (not overpower) JBL N24II surrounds.

If it matters, I have an JBL HLS Center, a PSW-D112 subwoofer and a sony str-de935 receiver along with the n38 mains.

Would this setup lend itself well to N38 surrounds?

Thanks,
Ben

I have N38's as my mains, the N-center, and 4 N24's for surround duty in a 7.1 setup. They match up great, and when I run a timbre test tone in avia I cant tell the difference between the 38 and 24.

However, the N24's have a low sensitivity compared to the N38's, so on your reciever you will probably have to raise them +3db or so to compensate for this, so they can be the right level with the 38's. Check your setup with an SPL meter to be sure.
