Aaron,
As stated here, go to Walmart and buy a bag of Polyfill from the crafts area. Unplug the Sony sub (doh!), and lay it speaker side up. Unscrew the speaker and lay it gently off to the side with the wires still attached. Just stuff some polyfill in there around the top, left, and right sides (the empty sides.) I used some spray adhesive in there to help it stick but it's not neccesary. Just don't cover up the port (amp) in the back or the bottom as it can get hot. Gently replace the speaker and screw it back in. Plug it in and enjoy adding $100 of sound to your sub for $1.99 ;)
Best...

I'm suprised that Best Buy would match an online site that the first I've everheard of that but that's cool though I might have to try that.

Oh trust me there was a lot of hemmin and hawin! ;)
They tried to discourage me by saying that their
match price would have to include shipping charges.
I said fine. (I knew that already)
Then they said that the shipping I was paying for
was 5-7 day ground shipping, so they would have to
hold the product for 7 days to make it equitable.
(Best Buy must have a good floor cleaning crew because
the BS in this place is impressive!)
So I said "Great! I won't be setting up my system for
a week anyway!"
So he went to the managers office, came back and
matched it and I left with it that night.
I think he knew I would walk, I made it clear I don't
have a problem ordering online I would just rather
buy it locally if I could.
Plus, the hassle I got this time I believe was because
they were incredibly busy at the time and I think he
was hoping I would just leave.

Well fellas I'm back online. part of the
home theater setup was rearranging the room.
Getting the carpet cleaned. SEtting up all new
systems and running wires all over the place.
Overall impression, love the setup.
I do have some questions for STephen if he
sees this because he has a similiar setup.
What do you have you your speakers set up
as on your Pioneer? Would the N center be
considered small or large? How about the
N28's?
I have this all paired with the Sony 12" sub.
Also the rear backs seem decidely quieter than
the main surrounds. Is that how it should be?
Thanks again for all your advice people.
I'm totally loving my setup.
Watching Lord of the rings as a matter of
fact.:) :emoji_thumbsup:

I always set my center to small. In your case, with the sub, I would say small all they way around. My opinion, monkey with the settings. You may also increase the volume to the rear speakers in your receivers setup menu. Do a test tone run through.

Thanks,

One of my concerns is that I thought I read
that if you hooked up 2 speakers for your
rear surrounds instead of a single rear center
that the power output is divided to those
2. Which may be why they sound quieter.
I also thought the Pioneer 811 would not have that problem.
Am I missing something?

Aaron
