Does anyone have any information on this upcoming 9-disc box set? What films will be included, quality of transfers, etc?

Quick point: It's a Korean release, not Japanese.

A great pity there are no English subtitles. I've now got through all of Ozu's better-known movies and would really have liked to have seen these earlier works.

There will be a 2-DVD Ozu UK release on May 23rd. It will contain:

1. 'Record Of A Tenement Gentleman'
2. 'Flavour Of Green Tea Over Rice'.

Also, available separately in UK is 'The End of Summer'.

I found 4 OZU DVD sets (Japanse editions) on yesasia.com. There is no clear description on how many DVDs are in each set but there are no English subtitles, only Japanese. This site has quite a few Ozu DVDs (Korean editions) which are reasonably priced and have English subtitles.
