My TV in the front room went out 2 weeks ago. I need a "tide me over", for as I have started my slow construction of my HT (which will include an HDTV).
I've narrowed my selections to 3(now).
The Toshiba 27AF42 (flat screen 27")
The Toshiba 32A42 (32" non-flat)
The Sony KV-27FS100 16:9 enhanced
they are both pretty close in price, would the flat screen be that beneficial? They both have generous connections, and am torn between the two styles.
any comments? I appreciate it. I'm going out tonight or tommorrow

edited to add a 3rd option

In that case I would go for the bigger set. I think size will have a bigger impact than a flat screen.

If the TV you are going to buy is just to hold you over till you get an HDTV, then I would go with the bigger picture. Flat screens are nice but are more prone to geometry errors.

Since yout building a HT now.... why not spend the cash on a sweet new HDTV :) I know personally i get more pleasure from my tv then any other part of my HT
