My IPOD Mini shows the battery as being full. But, then it says its empty. I let it recharge and the same thing happens. Has my battery gone bad? And what could cause? It's not even a year old. Is their anything I can do?

Thanks!!

The battery meters on the iPod minis are notoriously inaccurate -- my wife has one. Does the iPod still play when the meter indicates the battery is low?

No it gives me a warning saying the battery is extremely low and then shuts off.

It does sound like the battery is not holding its charge. If it's a year old, the iPod is out of warranty (unless you bought an extended warranty). Apple will replace the battery for a fee, or you could buy a new battery from a third party and attempt to replace it yourself.

Its not hard to replace the battery...once you manage to crack the thing open which can be tricky.
