I will get SVS Ultras, but in the meantime tell me what you think about this. (1 Viewer)

I happen to have two audiosource sw-fifteens. Yes at some time I would love to upgrade to svs but at 350.00 for both and about 5.00 bucks in fiberfill I think they sound pretty darn good, and isnt that whats most important, what the individual person thinks sounds good?

Manuel,

While the SW-15 can put out quite a lot of bass, it is not as tight and quick as the SVS. There is not a lot of seperation of bass notes as a result. The difference is night and day. For the interim, the SW-15's will suffice, especially at the price you can get for 2. I hope that you don't have to pay for shipping on them, unless that is included in the price too.

In this price category (aside from diehard basshead subs like

SVS) I don't think you will find many competitors with this

sub.

Please don't take my lowly word for it..

( And one of these days people will actualy realize that

AR didn't stop making some of the best speakers in the world

when Teledyne packed it up...)

That looks nice!! I found it for less than 500 bucks! Hmm.. now Im seriously thinking again...

I will be this, or my first sonosub... I know, the experts will tell me that making my own is always better. But I have to consider also the easiness of just "pay, receive, plug and enjoy"

Manuel,
If you found one for $500.00 I would suggest snatching it
up. Rumor has it that AR is about ready to ax the Hi-Res
series and introduce a new lineup. This particular sub (the
ARS500) has already sold on ebay in the past months for
$1500.00 + (watched it with my own eyes!)
I would buy one sell it and then buy TWO! :)
