There was an excellent segment on the news the other day about this car. It might have been the Today Show. One of the developers of the car was giving a demo of the car’s performance to the female reporter and cameraman. I couldn’t believe how fast it accelerated and how well it performed.

When the reporter was allowed to drive, the car malfunctioned and wouldn’t move, leaving them stranded on the side of the highway. They claimed that the car had been put through an extensive performance test the day prior and that may have damaged the transmission.

If I had just invested $100K on this car, that incident would have concerned me greatly.

electric motors have ridiculous torque, i'm surprised the acceleration isn't faster.
