I'm completely torn as to what to do. I can't decide between getting the Kenwood HTB504 system and then eventually upgrade the speakers and Center channel or if I should just spend some extra $ and do the setup I talked about earlier. Option #2 would include:
Fluance AV-HTB 5 Speaker system
http://store.yahoo.com/fluance/fluanceavhtb.html
DLS 10" Powered Sub

Kenwood VR507 Receiver
http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=kenvr507
I can't decide as to what to do? Anybody have any suggestions for me? Keep in mind I am new to this stuff and I do have a budget (as you could probably tell). I'm not an HT enthusiast but want the best bang for my buck. Any suggestions are helpful and appreciated!
Thanks

The VR507 is at Circuit City this week for $250. You could get the HTB504 for around $400 from Sears with a price match. It really depends on how much you want to spend. I would get the JBL NSP1 speaker set for $300 before the Fluance speakers for $250.

I thought about the JBL NSP1 Package. Why do you recommend these over the Fluance? Is it because they are better known or are they simply amazing for the price? Would the DSL 10" sub be okay to add to that package of speakers?

I saw a few people on here with reviews for the Fluance system and they all said they were excellent and only get better with use and could compare to $600-$700 dollar speakers.

I'm not saying the Fluance speakers are bad, it is just that the JBL's are very good for the money. Not sure how that sub would sound. Many people like the Sony sawm40 as a budget sub for around $150. A few people here have the NSP1's with the Sony sub.

What if I just went ahead and bought the 504 for now and then at a later time I upgrade the speakers as I feel needed? That way I could get a good entry level system and begin to learn about all this stuff.
The sub on the Kenwood is a good sub isn't it? How does it compare to the DLS 10" one and the Sony SA WM40? If I buy the HTB would the Kenwood sub be something that would stay wit me for a while?
Thanks for the help! :)
