How's the transfer on 'The Ice Storm' disc?

    I really want this one on DVD, but the existing version is pretty bare-bones! I don't want to face the undoubted long wait for a SE, so providing the picture/sound quality is excellent, then I'll pick this one up. How is it?

    I guess my only answer to your question is that it's the best you're going to find for this outstanding film. On my admittedly low-end HT, it looks and sounds great.
    I'll leave the definitive reviews to those with higher-end equipment.

    On my 40" widescreen, the transfer is very good. I would rate it an 8/10.
