I have a Marantz SR7200 with Klipsch RF3 series mains, RS3 rears and a RC7 center (also have a KSW12 sub). How much difference will I notice if I add a 150 x 2 2CH amp to power the mains?

Thanks,

Jonas

Depends on the 2 channel 150 watt amp..... lol

If the amp has significantly different tonal qualities, it can throw the tonal flow off on your surround, sort of like mis-matched speakers do. It is really hard to say one way or the other.

Jonas,

A high-powered amp with those speakers? Don’t waste your time of money! I mean, their efficiency ratings are a freakin’ 95-98dB! In other words, you could probably drive them to ear-bleeding levels with a 20-watt amp!
