How many of you got a region modified dvdplayer? (1 Viewer)

Is it common in the US to "crack" the player?
I have one. and I only buy region 1 dvd´s.

I have one too, but as you can see I am not from the US. Anyway, I do buy about 95% of all my DVD's in the US. Main reason, they apear sooner, much sooner and sound quality seems to be better. Plus I prefer to watch the Film in it's original language.
I would buy a lot less or no US DVD's if we had a worldwide day and date release and englich is always included.

I have a Region 1 Panasonic RP-91 and a region selectable DVD Player as well.
I use the region selectable to play discs that I purchase from the U.K. and Japan. Yes I also have a PAL->NTSC converter as well.
