how is the pioneer 711 for music?? quick (1 Viewer)

im going to get the pioneer 711 from a fellow member here but want to make sure that its sound is good for music. will it play loud enough? im going to have jbl s26 for fronts/rears, s-center and sony 12" sub. please respond fast cause i'm buying shortly if everything is ok. thanks!

Yes it will be fine as long as you have the midnight mode setting on. I own the 811 and that makes it sound better.

Midnight Mode is dynamic range compression, reducing the overall clarity and fidelity....

I also have the 811 and, for me at least, I find that music is better WITHOUT using Midnight mode. For DVD's on the other hand, I like Midnight mode for a nice overall boost without waking up the kiddies :) That said, I think the 711 should be loud enough for you, unless maybe, you like ear-splitting volume levels.
