...and Brook gets the correct answer! :)

Jim, cool pick - I'd considered Quest for Fire myself. :emoji_thumbsup:

As for my final choice, I'll go with Salt of the Earth. Though Chris picked the similarly-themed Matewan, I'm taking SOTE as much for its importance in cinema history as for its subject matter.

Here's another trivia question:

What foreign country has imprisoned the most U.S. citizens on drug-related charges?

Up next with their final picks:

John
Lew (I have his pick)

...and you would be right: Mexico is the answer. :)

Lew takes How the West Was Won.

Here's another trivia question:

What word for "confusion" was the popular name for the Hospital of St. Mary of Bethlehem, an old London insane asylum?

Steve, I don't remember what's left on the list I sent you, I'd really like to have TGM on my draft list, but I'm not sure if I sent you anything better :b

Brook, TGM is the only movie left on the list you sent me. Let me know if you still want to use it.

And Chuck finally came up with a right answer! :)

Here's another trivia question:

What seafaring Italian city-state took over Cyprus in 1473?

Here's yet another one:

Chris is skipped but can make his last pick at any time.

Justin is up.

Justin, glad you liked Salt of the Earth. I don't know if in your class you delved into the history of the film, but it's a fascinating one. I highly recommend the DVD from Pioneer. :emoji_thumbsup:

The First Great Train Robbery, a personal favorite film of mine.

Steve, are you referring to the fact that all the participants in Salt of the Earth were blacklisted?

Steve, are you referring to the fact that all the participants in Salt of the Earth were blacklisted?
Yep. That and the fact that the film was made entirely outside of Hollywood. Very interesting story. The Pioneer DVD is loaded with extras (mostly text-based) that really delve into the backstory.

Brook takes Preston Sturges' The Great Moment.

Chris still needs to make his final pick.

The answer to the last trivia question was marijuana.

Here's another:

What actor took his seat in Britain's House of Lords in 1971?

Up next:

Scott
Jim
