Henry Bumstead, the veteran Hollywood production designer who won Academy Awards for his work on "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Sting" and whose longtime association with actor-director Clint Eastwood kept him on the job into his 90s, has died. He was 91

He was even the production designer on Eastwood's two upcoming Iwo Jima films! An extrodinary career.

His best work was probably on Vertigo. A great loss, though he led a long, productive life.

Mr. Bumstead, no relation to Dagwood, can be seen on the Vertigo DVD discussing his work. This is sad news as another link to the golden age is gone.
