please help..

saw this on either usa or sci-fi about 3 yrs ago, not sure if it was a made for tv thing or not...

kinda in the same vein as Blair Witch, meaning it used the same shot on video approach, and it was kinda a supernatural thriller, had internet chatting (mIRC) in it as part of the later plot, and in the end, the narrator (private detective ?) was the murderer...

any ideas?

i was half-asleep at the time so sorry about the lack of further details..

i thought i remembered that it was made before blair witch. but it gave me a severe blair witch vibe. so do you suppose the blair witch folks had seen it before making their film?
