Jeremy,

It depends on what your budget is:

Pioneer 563a ($170)
Denon 2200 ($550)
Denon 2900 or Yamaha S2300 ($850)
Marantz 8400 ($1300)
Denon 5900 ($1700)
Lexicon RT-10 ($3500)
Teac DV-50 ($5000)

These are all the best Universal players at their prospective price points. They all are DVD-A/SACD and progressive scan players, and in some cases have DVI (5900 and 8400)& firewire outputs. I think any of these would work. Obviously, the TEAC is the best.

I'd recommend a Denon DVD-1600 top-rated quality with Faroudja de-interlacer for around $300.

The 1600 is a great choice as well, but you will forgo SACD if you choose this one. Of the players I mentioned above, the one closest to the 1600 in video quality would be the Yamaha 2300. It and the 1600 share the same video chip and a similar mpeg decoder I believe.
