Help changing aspect ratio? (1 Viewer)

I recently purchased my first HT: Panasonic L500 Projector, H/K 325 receiver, and Samsung DVD-931. I set everything up and it worked GREAT! I even changed the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 and back again on the projector.

Now for some reason the aspect ratio menu item is blue'd out and I can't change it to 4:3. What did I do and what can I do to get the projector back to making this aspect ratio change? Where else can I get help? Thanks.

On some TV's (and projectors) the aspect ratio is blued out when you are using progressive scan inputs. You would have to use S-video input otherwise.

You might want to buy a DVD player with a side squeeze choice that generates a picture with gray or black sidebars that is displayed as 4:3 while the projector is still in 16:9. Or return that projector in favor of one that does not have aspect ratio restrictions.
