I don't know if this has been covered before in the threads (if so, I apologize), I tried doing a search but didn't find the answer I was looking for. Anyway, I have a Panasonic PT-53WX42 HDTV w/ component inputs that I bought around 2002 before the inclusion of HDMI/DVI and was wondering if some sort of HDMI/DVI retrofit was possible for these slightly older sets. I wanted to look into buying a HD-DVD or BR player soon, and was exploring my options. I'd like to put off a new HDTV set for a while and was wondering if this is possible, and if so, for how much. Thanks for your help.

no, not unless you get a transcoder... but it doesn't make sense because most HD-DVD/BR players have component outputs anyway. just use that for the time being. if ICT starts becoming the norm, then upgrade your HDTV.
