Has Denon announced a replacement for the DVD 1600? (1 Viewer)

They didn't have one at CES. Hopefully, they'll be a little smarter than Panasonic and not discontinue a great DVD player.

The DVD-1600 will likely be replaced in a few months with another player at its price point. Jeff Talmadge at AVS said that more players in addition to the DVD-2900 were coming within the next few months, though he didn't mention a specific replacement. I think the 1600 replacement will carry the latest Faroudja FL2300 chipset - something sadly, the new Panasonics will not have this time.
