Harman Kardon 7200 and DPR 1001 pricing (1 Viewer)

I am just curious as to why the new DPR 1001 is so much less expensive than the 7200.

The new DPR 1001 from what I understand is using a new technology and I would have expected something like that to cost more than existing technology.

If you had a choice between the two (money being no factor) which would you choose and why?

Has anyone had a chance to compare this new receiver to older Harman Kardon gear, even their more recent gear?

Just curious is all.
