I had a few reservations about posting a HAPPY
THANKSGIVING thread, so I kept it isolated to
the most popular area of HTF, the Software
Forum
.

I realize that Thanksgiving is not a holiday that
affects the entire world. It's strictly an American
holiday and for that reason I felt a little
selfish imposing our holiday observance upon the
rest of the world that interacts on our forum.

On the other hand, I don't see why our celebration
of giving thanks cannot be shared by everyone.

On behalf of my partner Parker and I, we would
like to wish all our members a Happy Thanksgiving.
This is a time to reflect and be thankful for all
the many good things we have in our lives.

Parker and I are very thankful for all of you
that come to this forum on a daily basis to exchange
opinions with others. It is because of all of you
that this forum still exists.

Have a great holiday, whatever your country of
origin or beliefs may be.

[c]HAPPY THANKSGIVING![/c]

I'm thankful for Ron & Packy and all the mods for making a fun place to come and talk about DVDs. Much appreciated, guys! And to all my fellow HTFers, for the great interaction and neat info you provide.

I'll be leaving in an hour or so to go spend most of the day at my in-laws (about an hour away), so I don't know how much you'll see me here today. Before going to fill up on turkey and ham, I just wanted to say "thanks" to everyone here...today's the day for it.

Ron, a quick question: where's the Turkey version of the HTF logo? Am I nuts, or wasn't there one?

We need to get a new one and have been very lazy
about doing so over the past two years.

If anyone has any artistic flair and wants to
put together one for us (using our logo), please
do so and we will use it next year.

Just adding my thanks for this forum which gives me great ideas and advice and especially for Dave's weekly roundup which saves me lots of money (or perhaps causes me to spend it!) Have a good one, y'all.

I too am headed out seen to get to the Yearly Ingesting of too much food. I Hope eveyone here on the Forum has a wonderful Holiday. I started out this morning cooking the Bird and Watching Paramount's Excellent Disk of "The Homecoming" that story always reminds me of the important things in life and starts off the holiday on the right foot. Tonight after all the festivities wind down I'll snuggle down and View the New Special Edition of "The Christmas Story" In Between maybe Some Hi def Football with the Miami vs Dallas game... Everyone have a wonderful day

Happy Holiday to all.

And I always give an extra thanks to those that are away from loved ones during the holidays serving their respective countries.

Happy Thanksgiving from north of the 49th parallel.

side note to Ron: Up in Canada we also celebrate Thanksgiving, but it's on the 2nd Monday in October. (it coincides with Oktoberfest....loads of turkey and beer!coincidence ? I think not! )

The folks at National Lampoon once put forth the idea that the reason we Canadians have our Thanksgiving early is that we don't have as much to be thankful for. Discuss.

Oh, and watch out for the turkey sweats !

Cheers, eh ?

Burp!

...scuse me...

Now that the turkey-eating day is done, we can focus our attention on the really important day...

DVD Black Friday!

Get out there and find some deals. :)

Happy Holidays, all!
