To our neighbor in the North: Thanks! Hope you have a great Christmas and New Years too.
And to the person who replied from Ireland:
A really BIG thanks to everyone there. My wife and I were in Ireland when the 9-11 disaster happened. We could not have been treated better anywhere in the world. People went out of their way to make us feel like family. Thanks again.
Keith and Adrian, thanks! I'm still full!
Just for your info (don't read if you are currently hungry )...
Of course, we had the mandatory but always good turkey and dressing (and grrrrravy, yum), sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, a tomato basil soup, and pumpkin pie to top it off... and that was just for brunch! Later, it was off to Dad's for poached King salmon (this was awesome. I hate smoked salmon, and had worries, but this stuff rocked), polenta with spinach, more sweet potatoes (this time, made with Jack Daniels whiskey, yum!), and fresh blanched green beans. Dessert was home made pecan pie (yes, with world famous Texas pecans) and chocolate mousse.
Alternate servings of coffee and wine all day.
And then, a loooooong nap.
