do you guys think that instead of buying one of the HK receivers now, i should instead wait for the new models to replace the current X25 series since it was these days that they came up with the X25 series last year.

Depends if the feature set has changed much. If they eliminated the fan on the 325 or 525 you might want to wait but if there's only a minor change you can probably get the x25 series at a heavily discounted price.
