It was a small Jeff Daniels movie that was only shown in the upper Midwest do to it's Hunting theme.

I thought it was pretty good for a "flik".

Am I the only person on earth to see it?

It appears to be in limbo. The play was very popular in SE Michigan (first at Chelsea's Purple Rose Theater, later at Detroit's Gem [IIRC] Theater), and the movie did decent per screen business where it played (mostly in Michigan and Wisconsin). They didn't have much luck finding theatrical distribution. Part of the problem is that many of the people who pick festival films and the distributors who buy independent films did not think it was "edgy" enough. There was also some trepidation about acquiring good natured comedies since "Happy Texas" had tanked at the box office recently.
Realistically, the somewhat new agey ending and their apparent reluctance to go the cable route probably reduced the chances of anyone seeing this film, too.
Anyway, they will hopefully get some kind of video and DVD distribution deal lined up soon so people can see it. The same folks at Purple Rose films have recently produced another film called "Supersucker" about rival vacuum cleaner salesmen that looks amusing.
Both films have web sites
