two questions:

1. How is the Eric Clapton/BB King Riding with the King DVD-A? (I have the redbook)

2. Any word on when/if Derek and the Dominoes Layla & assorted love songs will be released on DVD-A?

thanks

I really like "Riding with the King," including the multi-channel mix which gives it that live in the club feeling. Have not compared the CD but have heard it on someone's system and if you have a multi-channel set-up, I would recommend it. I don't like about 75% of the multi-channel discs out there and listen to stereo in many of the ones that I have.

I like "Reptile" better as well. "Reptile" has a more natural sound field. "Riding with the King" is more reverberent that is like sitting in a small club. I don't like agressive use of surrounds and I would call "Riding with the King" on on the conservative side of aggressive.

The 2-ch DVD-A sounds better than the CD. I like the 5.1 setup but it's not the best I've heard.
