One thing you should remember, even though Nintendo does "steal the show" (just as Square would if they announced a new FF or Capcom if they announced a new RE or Konami if they announced a new MGS, although none of them are quite as big as Nintendo) those games that get overshadowed are still seen by the press. The press shows off those games, and when they come out, the public gets to see those games for what they are: amazing. So even if a game doesn't get the press it deserves right now, it will eventually get some of the glory.
