dvi-d single link to vga adapter (1 Viewer)

i bought a samsung lcd monitor and this has a dvi-d single link output.
my pc is a old one and it has a vga connection only.
is there a dvi-d single link to vga adapter or cable .
what is the alternative ?

Considering that you can purchase a ATI Radeon 256MB AGP video card with DVI output for under $50, I would just purchase a new card.

dvi-d is not compatible with VGA, so you would need some sort of "device" to do the conversion (ie: scan converter, scaler, whatever you want to call it).
