    1. What Regions are PAL?
    2. Does that mean all the other Regions are NTSC?
    2. Do all PAL DVD's need to be coverted to NTSC in order to
watch on a normal U.S. television?

    Thanks for the info

Hong Long is a PAL country though almost all their DVDs are NTSC.

In fact, I only have ONE Hong Kong PAL DVD out of the many hundreds that crossed my pass.

    Just to clarify:

    Region 4 - Australia & New Zealand = PAL
    Region 4 - South America = NTSC

Don't get caught out if your player can't handle either format.

Also, of course, Japan is Region 2, but uses NTSC.

...ahh... according to the link I provided in my previous post Argentina and Brazil are PAL and PAL-M, respectively - not NTSC...

Mexico is also R4, and I'll assume so is Central America.

    Just to clarify.
Zone 4 for South America is NTSC.
PAL is use for VHS and Television in South America. But for those weirds things of tecnology, most of the TV and VHS players in South America are Pal and NTSC.
