Ahhhhh...gotcha....didnt know what you were referring to! Plus, that statement is so far from the truth and just doesnt make any sense; there are plenty of good titles in DTS.
The DTS track on the Predator Collectors Edition is okay, but not that breathtaking; you can tell the levels were ramped up for this remaster, so the volume is pretty high overall, but there are inconsistent gunfire moments when the audio gets congested and then opens up again, and then back again....its weird.
I don't live and die by DTS but if I see a dvd has a track, that's the one I go to.
I'll vote for Lord of the Rings too. Also, the first DTS track I really noticed was on Nightmare Before Christmas. Not a lot of explosions but the music just opens up compared to the DD.
Gladiator Band of Brothers Saving Private Ryan Lord of the Rings Extended Editions
All of those are extremely strong tracks capable of wowing. My favorites for demoing DTS are hands down the opening battle in Gladiator and the mines of Moria in LOTR: ROTK EE.
