and aliens is dts in r2 japan.

I would have suggested Terminator 3's crane chase as well, but he specifically asked for DTS tracks, of which T3 has none.

DAAAAAAAMN IT! I guess Im just steamed because Region 1 gets cheated out of some really good discs ie T3 DTS and Independence Day DTS...

I played Die Another Day's Hovercraft Chase via DTS. WOWWW! It blew the roof off.

Cant belive I didnt get DTS earlier.

My T3 is DTS. Sorry for you R1 guys :frowning:

The DTS track on the Predator Collectors Edition is okay, but not that breathtaking; you can tell the levels were ramped up for this remaster, so the volume is pretty high overall, but there are inconsistent gunfire moments when the audio gets congested and then opens up again, and then back again....its weird.

Titan AE is one helluva soundtrack as well.

I have both the Region 1 and Regio 2 sets of the BTTF trilogy and the R2 set is DTS where as R1 is not.

Same goes for Signs, My R2 is DTS and my mates R1 is just DD 5.1

I cant understand why they do this.

I also checked my Alien Quadrilogy and 1 and 4 are DTS. Makes me mad that 2 and 3 where left out.

I don't live and die by DTS but if I see a dvd has a track, that's the one I go to.

I'll vote for Lord of the Rings too. Also, the first DTS track I really noticed was on Nightmare Before Christmas. Not a lot of explosions but the music just opens up compared to the DD.

All of those are extremely strong tracks capable of wowing. My favorites for demoing DTS are hands down the opening battle in Gladiator and the mines of Moria in LOTR: ROTK EE.
