DTS and Dolby Digital Problem (1 Viewer)

I purchased a NAD T762 Receiver and a Sony DVP-NC665P DVD player. When I play DVDs the NAD doesnt recognize the DTS or Dolby Digital signals. It only allows me to select from the ProLogic, Ears and other formats. But when I have a signal coming from my digital cable such as Monday Night Footbal in HD, the NAD recognizes the Dolby Digital signal and displays it on the LCD. The Sony DVD player says that it is supposed to be able to recognize DTS and Dolby Digital signals. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Jason, Make sure the dvd player is set to output bitstream audio. You may have to set it to output DTS also.
