I got Pioneer DVD for my Roomate for X-mas and he loves it. Got RCA for my Parents and they love it.
Do you think DVD will take off this fast if DIVX still around.

My DVD collection would be huge by now, but the quality probably would not be there. No letterboxing killed Divx, along with many other things.
Netflix works for me.

Nope. And that's why it died.
I'll 2nd the vote for Netflix. Just got my subscription 2 weeks ago, and I'm already on my 5th DVD.
(It would be nice to get the case in the mail too, but hey, free shipping is free shipping... )
