Well, that'd be passsive bi-amping, I'm pretty sure it did something, but it makes much less difference than active bi-amping.

If you want to get into biamping, I say do it properly and be sure you're ready to do it right. I've started myself, I would not bother without doing a proper active xo. Be aware that just using say a textbook 4LR active xo will not automotically sound better than a properly designed passive. In fact it will probably sound worse, unless properly optimised! ... This has been my experience, now I'm working towards getting my measurement setup.

Well, I was assuming he would use a proper setup. I think I have something close now, and my design and PCB layout are freely available.

Michael, you have a website? ... By "do it right" I also meant biamping with an active crossover, not passive biamping, which to me seems like a waste of time/money/effort.
