I just purchased a Polk CS2 center channel speaker which for some reason makes about a 3 inch thick green line at the top of my screen with dvd's and TV. I thought if a speaker was "magnetetically sheilded" it was ok to set on top of a tv. Can someone explain this to me? Thank you

Just because it's magnetically shielded, doesn't mean it doesn't generate any magnetic field. What it does mean is that the field strength is reduced signficantly. Now, there may be some speakers who do a better job, but there's no published data on something like that. Your only option with that speaker is to increase the distance between it and the TV by placing it higher until the problem goes away.

You may have a speaker with defective shielding, return and try a replacement?
