Very excited to hear the news on the Impront Crossplot Blu-ray coming in August!

In addition to the new transfer it’s really cool that they included a commentary and some extras about the film. The restoration one will be great to see.

We can finally put the dreadful dvd version to retirement too!

I vaguely remember the film from showings when I got home from school during the 70's. Is it any good? I can't trust my kid mentality.
Honestly, it’s not very good. It’s fun in parts and very much of its time, but basically a third-rate North by Northwest. Probably not worth your time unless you’re a die-hard Moore fan.

I’d say pick it up, watch it for yourself and decide.

I love the film. It’s of the 60s but a lot of fun. I’m biased as I’m a Roger Moore fan too.

I agree it is not very good but compared to today's offerings it is actually a very enjoyable watch. The 1960's period is shown to its full and what a good time I had. Brings back memories !!

I’ll probably pick it up as I have a fondness for that type of stuff. I just needed to set my expectations.

If you like the Saint Roger moore series I think you will like the film.

I actually watch the film at least once a year. I’ve been holding off since this Blu-ray version was announced.

The last time I saw it was about a decade ago. I can’t quite bring myself to pay Imprint prices for it, but I might pick it up if/when Kino releases it.

I’ve never seen this film before. Might be interesting to check out. I’ve never seen The Man who Haunted Himself either and Roger Moore says it’s his favorite film as he gets to act in it.

Gold

I think those are his best.

I have a few of his other films on disc too.

I’ve been meaning to revisit Shout at the Devil too.

Thanks Tim. I did read Moore’s “My Word is my Bond” and I recall he spoke about those other titles. I’ll see if I can colllect those titles and watch them. :). There is another title cslled Escape from Athena.

Moore rarely strayed out of his comfort zone, but anyone who thinks he couldn’t act should check out The Man Who Haunted Himself and ffolkes.

Escape from Athena is ok. I have that one too.
It was on Amazon prime for quite a while.

Patrick macnee and Roger teamed up for a Sherlock Holmes tv movie as well. I have that one on disc too. Thought it was just ok but I should give it another watch.
