Okay ... today I confirmed that the Canadian Criterion distributor has The third Man listed as OOP
Are you sure about this? Somehow I doubt it. A lot of titles that are "commonly thought" to be public domain really aren't (cf. Metropolis and most of Hitchcock's British films). Anyway, Charade is public domain and it's OOP.I'm not sure if The Third Man is public domain, but I did see another, non-Criterion version of this film sitting in the $6.99 bargain bin with other public domain films. I think it was an Image release, or one of those other god-awful studios.
I think it was an Image release, or one of those other god-awful studios. When exactly did Image become considered a 'god-awful' studio?
Okay ... today I confirmed that the Canadian Criterion distributor has The third Man listed as OOPI thought Criterion didn't have a Canadian distributor, that's why they're so expensive in Canada (except for the Buena Vista titles).
When exactly did Image become considered a 'god-awful' studio?Where did he say Image was a "god-awful" studio? He asked whether it was "Image" OR a "god-awful studio." He implyed that "Image" was seperate from "god-awful" studios by naming them. What's your beef?
P.S. He should probably clarify his use of the word "other."
What's your beef?No need to be confrontational about it....
