Confirmation of GTA3 for Xbox? (1 Viewer)

Up until now, I had only heard rumors of GTA3 coming to Xbox, and nothing solid from Rockstar. Well, today, I came across this: http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters...468550,00.html

Take-Two Interactive announced today that it is currently developing Grand Theft Auto 3 for the Microsoft Xbox console. No further details have been released at this time regarding whether the game will be a port of the PlayStation 2 version or when the game is scheduled for release.
Paul Eibeler, president of Take-Two, stated, "We are very excited about the prospects for the Xbox and the opportunity to publish titles designed to demonstrate the unique features of this future-generation gaming console.''

Were you guys aware of this? Great news for the Xbox owners if it's true...

There hasn't been official word from Rockstar since then - they refuse to talk about GTA3 for platforms other than the PS2 or PC.

There was zero mention of a Xbox port in the last release schedule from Take 2.

Old news. That release is, I think, the only hard evidence of an Xbox version in development. If it's still coming then they're being really good about keeping it quiet
