Clarification about connection (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
I have Asus Tuf fx505gd model laptop and Logitech z906 system. How to get digital output from my laptop to Logitech z906? My laptop only have 3.5 combo jack. What should I add more to get digital out to feel DTS or Dolby?. Please help me. Thanks in advance

You're probably out of luck, unless the HDMI output carries both audio and video. If so it'll require an HDMI pass through device to tap off a digital audio output for your Logitech set. Even then you just might end up with digital audio without Dolby Digital. That's what I got with the one I tried.

Is it the type of combo jack that can output optical digital audio? If so, you just need a compatible optical cable.
