I calibrated my audio system and everything sounds correct (i.e. when a plane moves between each speaker they all sound at the same level). My problem is that when I turn up my receiver enough to hear dialog, the action scenes are incredibly loud. Besides, I live in an apartment and I don't want to disturb others.
I have tried to simply turn up the center channel level, but then going back to my plane example...the plane will sound louder in the center than other channels and that is annoying. I don't want to use a late night setting on my receiver because it doesn't work for DTS format, plus the late night changes how the audio sounds between different movies.
Any ideas on how I can hear normal dialog better?
