"If" you have them...

Angle those martin logans so that the planes form a 90 degree angle with your ears. If the model has long planes then use bracing to reduce the flex and vibration of them as they will vibrate quite a bit when opened up.

When you're done with the serious listening then put the MLs on the floor normally and u can take the brace off.
